1) What are we?
The Hearts and Journeys is a Solidary Tourism Agency that aims to reduce social inequality in access to tourism, to provide memorable experiences immersing in the local community through volunteering and to share the historical and cultural richness of the country.
2) What is Social/Solidary Tourism?
The solidary tourism aims to combine tourism and volunteering with a strong human share by the involvement in the community and local traditions, generating a positive impact on communities.
Social tourism is the way to practice tourism promoting equal opportunities for all. In this context, we aim to provide experiences for children and young people with financial needs that otherwise would not have access to them.
3) What services we offer?
The services we offer can be; full packages (accommodation, tourism activities, meals), leisure activities (tours and local activities) and voluntary actions that can be included in a package or when customer wish.
4) Who are our beneficiaries?
Our beneficiaries are children and young people with financial needs that come from different institutions. Each institution and each child is very special and has an unique history. The activities that will be donated through the model “buy one, give one”, which means for each package/tourist activity sold it will be offered one package/activity to one child. The children are identified by the institutions, and are selected for their school merits, sports, musical or good behavior. The experiences that we aim to offer has a component of culture, sport and social inclusion.
5) Booking procedures
All packages and activities are subject to availability.
In order to guarantee your reservation for the full packages, you will have to make 100% payment at time of booking. For leisure activities or voluntary programs, you can choose to pay by bank transfer at the time of booking or pay on the day of the activity.
6) How do I pay?
First you will have to submit your booking request in our book form, all packages and activities are subject to availability.

7) How do you know that we are a serious company?
The Hearts & Journeys is a company that works in partnership with VIPrecepcion, Travel and Tourism Unipessoal Ltd, registered as a travel agency with RNAVT 3632 and NIF 510 230 4.
Our office is located in UP – Paranhos, Rua do Tâmega, 4200-502 Porto, Portugal.
