Day 1 – Arrival Day
Check in at the Hotel | Welcome session by Hearts and Journeys Team
Day 2 – Porto’s downtown
- 9:00 – Meeting point at the hotel’s reception to go for the volunteer action

Short break to socialize and have a snack
- 12:20 – Return to hotel
Lunch in pre-established restaurant
- 14:30 - Meeting point at the hotel’s reception for the guided tour
(Duration: approximately 2-3 hours)
In this day we will visit Porto’s downtown which is the central area of the city where trades and services are located as well as some traditional groceries, the São Bento railway station and other important monuments.

Day 3 – Ribeira’s Day
- 9:00 – Meeting point at the hotel’s reception to go for the volunteer action

Short break to socialize and have a snack
- 12:20 – Return to hotel

- 14:30 - Meeting point at the hotel’s reception for the guided tour
(Duration: approximately 2-3 hours)
On this day will be visiting some of the oldest and most typical spots of the city which includes the Historic area and part of the World Heritage Site designated by UNESCO.

Day 4 – Day of the Palace
- 9:00 – Meeting point at the hotel’s reception to go for the volunteer action

- 12:20 – Return to hotel

We’ll visit the gardens of Palácio de Cristal which are characterized by beautiful green spaces where you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of Rio Douro and the sea. This day includes visits to Casa da Música, known for its architecture, and several museums.

Day 5 – Vila Nova Gaia day
- 9:00 – Meeting point at the hotel’s reception to go for the volunteer action

The afternoon will be spent in Vila Nova de Gaia, which has a remarkable monumental and artistic heritage, known primarily for the Port wine cellars and the beautiful landscape incorporating the river and the city of Porto.

Day 6 – Serralves day
- 9:00 – Meeting point at the hotel’s reception to go for the volunteer action

- 12:20 – Return to hotel

We will visit Serralves which it`s a beautiful green space, with 18 acres involving the Museum of Contemporary Art (Serralves Foundation), a building designed by architect Siza Vieira.
This day will also include a visit to Foz, known for the beautiful landscape by the sea.
